Before we kick off with this weeks news, i thought I should take time to thank the two strangers who came to my aid last night! Being pulled from the river Kelvin at 5.30 was not on my to do list. That said, nor was jumping into the Kelvin to save my drowning dog, to be fair.
I wont bore you with the details. suffice to say we are both fine. He is remarkably fine, I'm bruised, bashed and somewhat shaken but thankfully still here, I don't reckon I was too far from being in serious trouble but hell what would you do if your idiot spanel fell off a sheer bank into a swollen river?
A full days work certainly took my mind of the night before and it certainly has been a full day!
A massive shout to Charlie who pretty much single handedly coordinated a massive move. LNFG is now fully located in the Stables Yard at The Hidden Lane, we have vacated Mercat House.
Our plans for Big Blue going forward will involve weekly live shows and many more events, a massively increased CD selection and bigger book display.
Talking of CD selection, it's Wednesday and we often do this on a Wednesday but this time with a twist. 8 copies of 8 CDs in our store available for £0. You can claim any 1 for free but you must ask us to ship it to you. No pick ups!
Or you can claim one free for every other item you buy - buy 8 CDs claim all 8 free.
Here's the twist ... we have also added 8 copies of each LP at a very tempting price, thus you could buy all 8 LPs and claim all 8 CDs free if your fast!
LNFG members choosing to discount these prices by 40% will be pointed at in public :) Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
We hope to reveal full details of the new Pearlfishers album later this week, we will also be revealing the line up for Big Blue's Christmas Cracker, which may actually involve Christmas Crackers. We will also have news on tow new signings and their plans for 2027!
Here is a recap of things you should be excited about - why don't you let yourself be tempted!
We are very excited to be releasing the new album from Corselette (Kate Jackson - The Long Blondes) produced by Martin Ware (Heaven 17 / The Human League) What's not to love ?
I could talk about Kidd from now until the end of time and wouldnt run out of superlatives. We have some exciting plans for the album packaging, you should certainly grab an early copy.
If you attended either of Vickie's recent shows, you will not just how stunning she is. With around 200 folks in attendance at both, we will be expecting to see pre-orders of a similar level - don't be giving us your streaming nonsense. Buy a record or CD and show the artist you love them!
St. Dukes second LP aptly titled LP Two promises to be one of the years greats. Their debut album was an absolute delight - this looks to be about 23.5% better
The Fat Lady Sings need no introduction, so I wont give you one
