Before we kick off with this weeks news, i thought I should take time to thank the two strangers who came to my aid last night! Being pulled from the river Kelvin at 5.30 was not on my to do list. That said, nor was jumping into the Kelvin to save my drowning dog, to be fair.

I wont bore you with the details. suffice to say we are both fine. He is remarkably fine, I'm bruised, bashed and somewhat shaken but thankfully still here, I don't reckon I was too far from being in serious trouble but hell what would you do if your idiot spanel fell off a sheer bank into a swollen river?

A full days work certainly took my mind of the night before and it certainly has been a full day!

A massive shout to Charlie who pretty much single handedly coordinated a massive move. LNFG is now fully located in the Stables Yard at The Hidden Lane, we have vacated Mercat House.

Our plans for Big Blue going forward will involve weekly live shows and many more events, a massively increased CD selection and bigger book display.

A very quick message to let you know that we will be closed tomorrow and wednesday. Ian, Julia, Ash, Isabella and Charlie are away. We are going to spend 24 hours decrompressing in the Mull of Kintyre. We expect mist to be rolling in from the Sea ... Our desire? To never come back here :)

We have had a chaotic few months, the next few look to be equally busy. We still await albums landing from The Big Dish, Fat Lady Sings, The Bathers, Starless, Emma Dunlop, Lizabett Russo & Juno.

Then there is the small matter of getting the remaining 250 members renewed not to mention convincing 50 or so of you to join us for the first time.

Before we kick off with the actual release news and what not, lets take a minute to say Massive Congratulations to The Rezillos for securing numbers 4, 9, 15 and 18 in The Album Charts with their brand new album. They play Big Blue on Sunday and there are a handful of tickets still available for that.

On Wednesday we revealed the final piece of our membership releases for 2027. The debut album from Corselette. The new project from Kate Jackson (The Long Blondes) was produced by the legendary Martyn Ware and will be hitting shops in September 2027. Members and pre-orders will be fulfilled a little earlier. It's a stunning piece of work.

Also on Wednesday we packed Charlie Clark off on tour with copies of his debut solo album, today we took delivery of all the variants. Lemon, Ginger and a strictly limited Lemon & Ginger vinyl.

Last Night Billy Reeves shared a link to a review posted by the inimitable Jerry Thackray. In this weeks sub stack he took a deep dive into our 1030 disc and what a delightful read it is - you can chec out the review right here
