Out today on White, Grey & Red Vinyl, and on CD - the brand new album from The Rezillos. You might want to grab a copy quickly as it's proving rather popular. We will have a few copies with us on Saturday and Sunday as we run a pop up shop at the Rip It Up festival at Finniestounds Pyramid.
Earlier today we had a meeting with Chris Thomson, with many things on the agenda but none more pressing than the imminent release of Sweet Deceit. You can be the first to know that this album will now be HALF SPEED MASTERED, we believe this will add an extra 17.3% depth to the soundstage and an extra 37% boreability to our conversations.
Test Pressings landed this morning for two of the above beauties, whilst we secured a sizeable chunk of a third from Distro. We expect to have the final albums for Charlie and Emma in the next week or so. Earlier today we announced the new album from Gareth Sager and even earlier we commenced the final stages of releasing Autoleisureland's Infiniti Drive.
Five more of this years 37 releases pretty much concluded, just over a handful to finalise.
It's quite amazing to us to think we have released an album every 10 days this year! Our members make this possible, they also are really the only ones who understand the true quality of our output.
When we started LNFG, we vowed never to compromise, never to play the industry game, never to brown nose those self serving organisations who claim to care about artists but really only care about their own existence. We are very proud that nearly 11 years after starting we can be consider ourselves solely responsible for producing hundreds of startling albums, albums that have graced the top of the charts and prompted sold out shows and residences. We have done all of this without adding to artist debt, without encouraging artists to throw money at unscrupulous agents, we have done all of this by simply being honest and straightforward.
There are consequences of course to being an outlier, not terribly serious consequences but consequences all the same. For one thing, we never get invited to those industry parties we never wanted to attend :)
Anyway - this is my way - yet again of saying. If you genuinely care about music, then maybe join LNFG. It's not a scam, we probably aren't a cult. We will however take your money and turn it into a whole heap of albums and you will probably love more than half of them.
If you're unsure about committing a chunk of cash, then buy an Intro Membership - £55 for nearly 500 days worth of delight!
On 30th September we will be revealing one of next years absolute prize releases and we cannot wait to tell you all about it!
